Stuck Between A Rock and A Hard Place

A friend and I were talking today just about life in general.

I posed this question, and wanted to know what everyone thought.

“Which is worse, knowing what you want and not being able to have it, or not knowing what you want at all?”

Please leave a response of some kind…..I didn’t post this so that I could read my post over and over.

Interesting question. I would have to say not knowing what you want. I say this because if you know what you want there is always hope. There are always things you can do to get what you want. There are options. If you don’t know what you want, then you just waste your time with no direction. You can’t get what you want if you don’t know what it is. Desire is the starting point of all achievement. But remember, some prices are just too high, no matter how much you want something. The one thing you cannot trade for your heart’s desire is your heart.

  3. your mom’s comment made my heart glad. so intense rosie! my answer would have to be…knowing what you want and also knowing that you will never be able to have it. whatever “it” is, it’s said to be unreachable. but on the other side, unlike the human mind makes us believe, is it really unreachable? or just harder to reach? is “it” something you really can’t get? or just something thst you will have to work extra hard to get…either way it hurts.
